A note on our blog

Updated: Sep 1, 2022

At Masha Masha we believe in freedom and friendship. We are a community that honours the struggles and celebrates the unique cultures of former Soviet nations. We hope that one day war and dictators can be things of the past.

Yes, we are a part of the fashion industry, and yes, we are a company that is interested in revenues that will cover our costs and pay our wages. But we also want to be more than a frivolous clothes-selling enterprise. We have strong views and we want to express them. That's why we donate a portion of all our sales to causes we believe in. That's also why we created this blog.

Most of what you will see will not be written or shot by us. Think of it as a collation of the stories, images, and videos that mesmerised, touched, or amused us. Our choices aren't sponsored and don't mean we favour one source over another. It won't be a comprehensive collection of current news or hot takes, but rather a record of important stories, cultural reactions, and reflections of our emotional rollercoasters.

The content we share will be either in English or Russian, as we don't have anyone on the team who speaks other languages (yet). But if you do come across material in other languages (or any material in general that speaks to you), please feel welcome to send it to us - we want this to be a multifaceted community and we will do our best to share.

We hope that our posts will bring solidarity and awareness, and that we all get to see a better future one day - one that comes sooner rather than later.
